Hi, my name is Amber, I am 15 years old, I live in Western Australia, and I am sponsored by Quoba Fins.

When did you start kitesurfing? What inspired you to stick with it and to compete professionally?

I started kitesurfing at ten years old. I was inspired by watching my dad kitesurf.

I began competing because I wanted to take my riding to the next level and showcase what I can do.

What was your first impression of St. Peter-Ording and the conditions?

My first impression was that the area is quite similar to my home spot in Mandurah, but I thought the conditions would be challenging.

How is Big Air compared to other kitesurfing disciplines? Which one is the hardest? Which one do you like the most?

I think Big Air is definitely very different because of the high adrenaline and boosting involved.

All of the disciplines are fairly difficult to learn, but I would say Big Air has the slowest progression, along with strapless freestyle.

I really enjoy wave kitesurfing and strapless freestyle, but I practice a little of everything.

Are there any female kitesurfers that you look up to?

I really look up to Capucine Delanoy and Francesca Maini.

What is your message to girls who want to start kitesurfing but may feel intimidated or unsure?

I would say just go for it and try everything!
